Some people really think that the world revolves around them. So if you are not free for a dinner which someone had arranged to celebrate someone else’s birthday, then just say you are not free and I’m totally fine about it. Don’t come and ask me if it’s ok to change it to another day which you are free because.. 1. I’m not the organizer 2. You are not the birthday boy 3. The world does not revolve around you.
I seriously don’t get it and it’s not the first time she had asked us to change a set date because she’s not free. Comon, not free then dun go lah, you think it’s so easy to set a date which everyone is free?
And that’s not the end.. I was clearing my leave for the year but I did not have any plans to go anywhere, just wanted to stay home and enjoy the long weekend. Then she have to jokingly tell me off for taking leave on that particular day even though I’m not planning to go anywhere, coz she wanted to take leave on the same day. Haha.. it’s so not funny.
The thing is, I’ve planned my leave waaaaaay in advance, if she cannot make her plans in advance, is that my issue?! Yes, I’m not going anywhere or doing anything special, but it’s my day off so I can jolly well do anything I want.
Seriously, the world do not revolve around you and I dun give a damn if you have last minute plans, because my world does not revolve around yours.
It’s so irritating and even though we’re on pretty good terms most of the time, such things are irritating and then she wonders why people do not like her.. Usually it’s these little things which makes people dislike someone and she simply do not get it.
i have a retarded colleague like this too. and she loves using religion as an excuse for anything. she’s a freakish X’tian. I have nothing against X’tians or any religion but it seems that they are becoming self centered and a general social retard due to this warpped affinity to their religion..And i like it when they say ‘I’m not religious. I just have a close relationship with God”..wtf.

To cool things a bit… Any change that she might not know that it’s a birthday outing, thus she wanted to change the date?
And your leave-clearing agony is more or less on par with mine… My colleagues had spent their leaves way early, and they spent it to “siam” all the heavy assignments & tasks. Meanwhile, I choose to hold my leaves and face those pathetic assignments. So right now, I’ve stored & am clearing 2.5 weeks of leaves and offs. But those fooked up people that I am shamed to call colleagues-of-mine go and complain to my Sup that it’s not fair that I can clear leaves at year-end and enjoy christmas & new year celebrations. And worse still, my full-of-fat-but-none-of-brain gave me a wash-down for not clearing my leaves earlier. I can ignore those rantings by my so-called colleagues since I can choose not to face them. But that sup of mine is simply tragic. I love my job & environment. Ok, not to the extent of “love” my job, but maybe just “like” my job. But that sup of mine is simply a waste of human lungs & organs, and I’m seriously considering changing my job.
Sometimes I wonder: is it worth it to work so tough & endure so much just to earn this amount of money? and how green is the grass on the other side of the hill?
